About Highland Heights
Pastor's Welcome

Welcome to Highland Heights. We've been waiting for you! It's true. We are so glad you have come because we believe that it is no coincidence that you came to Highland Heights. God placed this congregation in this community nearly 15 years ago after serving the Highland Heights area of Memphis for 72 years. We believe that we are here to reach out to everyone who comes into this special fellowship sent by God Himself. We want to express Christ's love to you with genuine, heartfelt warmth. We are eager to know you, and we're excited to share with you the marvelous ways God is working in our church. If you have been searching for a place to belong, we say – welcome home!

Worship

Our worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary music and strong expositional preaching. You will find all the traditional elements of a worship service such as the call to worship, confession, creed, prayers, the Lord's prayer, children's time and scripture lessons.

Adults

Highland Heights offers a place to study the Bible, fellowship and connect with other adults through our women's Bible Study groups, senior activities, men's supper group, the 20&30 Somethings group, Wednesday night activities with something for every age group, choir, ensemble, hand bells, Sunday lunches, and various special group activities and service projects as well as Sunday School classes for every age group.

Women's Small Groups

Women meet monthly in small groups, also known as circles, in homes or at the Church for Bible Study, food, fellowship and service.

Senior Adults

Seniors, also known as TOPS which means Trusting, Obeying, Praying Seniors, meet monthly. They go to museums, special events, lunch, play games and other activities all year long.

20 & 30 Somethings

Young adults have their own group. The 20 & 30 Somethings have a monthly "outing." There is a different coordinator each month. Activities vary from eating at someone's home to going bowling.

Men's Supper Group

The men of the church meet monthly to prepare and eat a meal consisting of steak, baked potatoes, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. There is also a time of devotion that is geared toward Christian men.

Youth

Today's youth often face critical decisions during this time in their lives. We want to be there to help in forming strong foundations and fellowship to help them discover real answers for those real issues through music, prayer, Bible Study, service activities, retreats, mission trips and recreation.

Children

Your child is very important to us for we realize these first years of a child's life are crucial for a strong spiritual foundation. We offer help through means of Children's Time in the worship service, a strong Sunday School, Wednesday night activities, vacation Bible school, and recreational opportunities including baseball, soccer, and basketball.
