Meet the HHPC Staff

Rev. Dr. Tim Foster
Senior Pastor
Years at HHPC:  10

As Senior Pastor, Tim preaches, leads worship and teaches Bible to all ages. He also visits the sick and shut-ins, provides counseling, and oversees the work of staff, elders and volunteers. A graduate of Mississippi State University and Columbia Theological Seminary, Tim has now received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Theological Seminary. He also serves as a Lieutenant in the Chaplain Corp of the United States Navy Reserve. Tim and his wife, Rene', have been married for nearly 21 years and have two sons, John Knox, 15, and Josh, 11. Rene' teaches three-year-olds in the HHPC Parents Day Out program. Spending time with his family is second only to Tim's relationship with the Lord. He enjoys hunting and fishing with his sons, weight lifting, running, gardening, reading and watching his sons play basketball and football. Tim served as Co-Pastor with Dr. Quillin for 8 years and now serves as Senior Pastor.

Dr. James Quillin
Pastor Emeritus
Years at HHPC:  22

Dr. Quillin began his term with Highland Heights Presbyterian Church on August 27, 1986. Dr. Quillin retired as planned as of December 31, 2008. On January 4, 2009, the church called Dr. Quillin to the new position of Pastor Emeritus.

Norman Barrett
Organist
Years at HHPC:  3

Norman Barrett adds much to HHPC services as the church Organist. His musical talents are heard during preludes, postludes, offertories and hymn singing. From playing piano for a church all during high school, he went on to begin playing the organ in 1950 while stationed in Millington. He and his wife Helen had 43 wonderful years together. They raised 5 children, and Norman now boasts 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Rosie Blatt
Secretary
Years at HHPC:  1

Rosie began her career with HHPC on January 2, 2009. She has a rich and varied background in various administrative fields and will be a valuable addition to the church staff. Previous work history includes 20 years with Auto Trader magazines in various roles including Composing Manager and Office Manager. She is a native Memphian and has a history with Highland Heights since childhood as she has attended church here many times. She and her husband have been married since 1971 and they have a grown daughter. Her family are long-time members of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Kym Borders
PDO Director
Years at HHPC:  5

As PDO Director, Kym Borders manages over 20 teachers and 135 students in the toddler through Jumpstart classes. She has worked in PDO and Daycare programs for the past 20 years. Kym lives in Arlington with husband of 22 years, her 17-year-old son and several pets. In her free time, she enjoys camping and four-wheeling with her family.

Lauren Burke
Ensemble Director and Pianist
Years at HHPC:  4

As Ensemble Director, Lauren directs the 8:30 a.m. service ensemble. She also accompanies the choir and church services on the piano. A graduate of Christian Brothers University with a degree in Business Administration, Lauren also has a teaching license in choral music, grades K-12, and is currently working on a Master of Science in Education. Lauren and her husband, Ricky, have four children. She loves aquariums and maintains one at home and one at the school where she teaches.

Jeff & Veronique Kim
Missionaries
Years at HHPC:  1

Jeff is a newly-ordained EPC minister. He and his wife, Veronique, and 4-year-old son, Victor, will soon be moving to France. John Calvin, the father of the Presbyterian Church, was born in France 500 years ago, but now there are few Christians there. Chiquita Paulson
Choir Director
Years at HHPC:  10

Before assuming the role of Choir Director, Chiquita was for many years a member of the Adult Choir. She also assisted in resurrecting the Hand Bell Choir, which she continues to direct. A graduate of Union University with a degree in Music Education, she has been a music teacher to many grade levels in the Diocese of Memphis Catholic Schools for 28 years. Chiquita and her husband Michael have three children, Marcus, Molly and Spencer. In her free time, Chiquita participates in school and community musical theatre.

Mary Smith
Financial Secretary
Years at HHPC:  7

Mary brings 25 years of financial work experience to the position of Financial Secretary. Her various duties include general bookkeeping functions and budget preparation. She also serves as a support person for the Parents' Day Out program. Mary and her husband Tim recently celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. They have three grown children and five grandchildren. In her time away from the accounting books, Mary enjoys hiking and history. She is a seventh generation member of Morning Sun Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she also serves a Treasurer and Session Clerk.
